Omega Phi Gamma was founded at the University of Texas at Austin in the fall of 1995. The founding fathers were originally brought together by their sister sorority, Sigma Phi Omega. The founders took the Sigma Phi Omega big brother program and merged it with close friends to form the original group of brothers. Their vision was an Asian American organization promoting brotherhood, community service, and social activity.
The Houston Omegas, Beta Chapter at the University of Houston, was established in 2004. Though we are an Asian-interest fraternity, we proudly welcome brothers of all races, ethnicities, and backgrounds—discrimination of any kind is not tolerated. As the most diverse Asian fraternity on campus, we champion unity and brotherhood while also celebrating individualism. We prioritize genuine relationships built on mutual respect, service, leadership, and unwavering support for one another. Our motto: “Bound by honor, rise above all.”
